Lets face it, as women, our shoes are our ultimate accessory. The relationship we have with them really is a love-hate. Often we love them more than our significant other, other times we hate them more than our worst ex-partner! We love the fashion, we hate the blisters. The fact that we still wear our favorite pair of shoes, despite the pinching and pain they cause, is a real testament to this relationship.

And isn't it strange how sometimes when we have nothing planned, the perfect set of shoes continues to present itself to us in those shop windows. We can buy a dozen pairs in a month. Yet when we need a pair to match an outfit for a wedding or other big event, it takes weeks of intense searching to find that singleright pair. It is as if they are testing us, testing our commitment to them.

But when we find that perfect pair of shoes, the feeling is hard to match. They "complete us", well our outfits anyway.

I've tried to start this website with a number of broad shoe categories. The idea is to offer you some detailed information on those specific categories. Then as time progresses, I can get more and more specific, bringing you information on sub categories of shoes and then even reviews of specific brands and models. For example, it means I could start with Athletic Shoes, drill down to Tennis Shoes as a sub category, and then review a range of different women's tennis shoes. I'll sure have fun shopping to try them all.

Hopefully though, in this manner, the Women's Shoes Search will be really helpful, enabling you to begin your shoe search on broad topics, but drill deeper and deeper, fully immersing yourself into your world of shoes, until you find exactly what you are looking for at the price you want to pay.

Why Do I Love Shoes?

Ok fair enough, I am taking a bit of liberty here. I love my shoes though and I am writing this website. So I thought I'd steal a couple of paragraphs and tell you why I love my shoes.

• Fashion - I am a sucker. I love looking great and shoes are a big part of this. There is nothing worse than spending all your money on a new outfit, dress or suit and having the whole look ruined by an old, poor, or mis-fitting pair of shoes. The right pair of shoes really does make or break fashion.
• Bargain Hunting - I especially love finding a pair of shoes I love which are also a great deal. Sometimes I will find exactly the pair of shoes I am looking for at 9.30am, but then proceed to spend the rest of the day looking for the same pair but for a better price. Sometimes I end up going back and buying the original pair (bargaining all the way) and I am happy, I just bought exactly the pair of shoes I was looking for. How good is it though when you do find the same pair of shoes, just as perfect, for a significantly cheaper price. Its better than ice-cream in front of a soppy movie.
• Comfort - I'd like to say that on the practical side, comfort is one of the things I love about my shoes. But I should be honest. I sacrifice function for fashion. We all do don't we? Surely I am not the only one whose feet have been screaming at the end of the night, but I went home happy, knowing the pain was worth it, my shoes were smashing.
• Variety - I'm not a man, I like to look different every day. Shoes are a part of this.
• Stability - Yes vanity is a big part of this one. I love the way that regardless of what the rest of my body is doing, despite the way my dress size fluctuates wildly, my shoe size always remains the same. There is nothing more upsetting than realizing you need to get "the next size up" when buying that skirt. When this happens, I can usually cheer myself up by buying a pair of new shoes, which are always the same size as last.
